JazzFest Berlin 2010

Nils Landgren has been responsible again for artistic direction of JazzFest since 2008. The resounding success of JazzFest Berlin ’01 was a compelling reason for naming Landgrens as artistic director until 2011. Most importantly, Landgren’s multifaceted activities as a soloist (“Mr. Red Horn”), his work with his own group “Funk Unit” and as a participant in various big-band projects, and his contribution as adviser to the NDR Big Band have given him a wealth of knowledge and an abundance of international contacts which can only serve to further enrich JazzFest Berlin.
