In his highly-praised novel “Noæno vijeæe”, a Bosnian named Simon visits his homeland in 1991, after years in Berlin, and falls under suspicion of murder shortly thereafter.

Dzevad Karahasan, born in Duvno in 1953, is a playwright, translator and author of novels, radio plays and essays. He has been awarded the European “Charles Veillon” essay prize, the Herder-Prize, as well as the Leipzig Prize for European Understanding.
