Amin Jaafie works in Tel Aviv as a distinguished surgeon – until his wife blows herself up in a restaurant. Khadra traces the origins of radical hate in his new novel, “L’Attentat”.

Yasmina Khadra, born in 1955, published numerous novels under a pseudonym, while working as an officer in the Algerian army. He left his native country in 2000. In Germany he is most famous for his Commissar-Llob-Trilogy.
