The author reads from “La noche de Morgana”, his latest short story collection, in which the erruption of the irrational and the gruesome in everyday life functions as a motif. The short story “Fracasado social” tells of the surprising discovery of someone searching for work, who observes homeless people in the park.
Jorge Eduardo Benavides, born in Arequipa in 1964, left his native Peru in 1991, where he had written three disillusioned novels. He works in Madrid as a teacher of creative writing, as journalist and as writer.
