“Teacher Man” is the third part of the best-selling author’s memoirs (“Angela’s Ashes”), in which he recounts both the tragic and comic aspects of being a teacher.

Frank McCourt, born in 1930 as the son of Irish immigrants in New York, taught creative writing for years before “Angela’s Ashes” (1996) became internationally acclaimed. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1997.
