Irene Dische

reads from “Granny’s true confession”
Kaleidoscope

Presentation · Bernhard Robben

“Granny’s true confession” is a tragic-comic tale in which the dreadful twentieth century is described through the merciless eyes of the grandmother.

Irene Dische, born in New York in 1952, lives in Berlin and Rhinebeck. Her first volume of stories “Fromme Lügen” appeared in 1989. The author often focuses on her German-Jewish ancestry in her literary work, exposing with unabashed wit both politically correct as well as incorrect clichés.
