Information about the application for the International Forum 2008
for interested theatremakers, institutions and agencies
The programme is conducted in German.
This normally includes
Artists with fixed contracts
Candidates must be proposed by theatres and institutions on artistic grounds. The proposals should specify these grounds and must include all relevant information about the artist e.g: credits, reviews, age, profession, address (including e-mail) and telephone numbers as well as a text giving the applicant’s reasons for wanting to take part in the international forum (max. one page of A4).
Applicants should also indicate which workshop s/he would like to attend (with alternatives). Theatre managements should note that in putting the candidate forward, they are agreeing to make her/him available for the entire period of the forum.
Freelance artists
Theatremakers who do not have a fixed-term contract should apply independently enclosing all relevant information: credits, reviews, age, profession, address (including e-mail) and telephone numbers together with a text giving the applicant’s reasons for wanting to take part in the international forum (max. one page of A4). They should also include a letter of recommendation with their application.

1. Dates
The International Forum takes place from 4 to 18 May 2008.2. Benefits
Selected participants will receive a bursary.This normally includes
- Travel expenses (using the cheapest means possible, dependent on the country of origin)
- Hotel accommodation with breakfast
- All costs of participation in workshops and the remaining programme
- Tickets to theatre performances
- Per diems in the region of € 20.00 (dependent on the country of origin)
3. Conditions
Applicants must be theatremakers who- are no older than 35 years of age
- are professionally active in spoken drama in an artistic capacity
- are available to participate for the entire period
- possess an adequate working knowledge of the German language
4. Workshops
Each participant enrols in one workshop for the whole period. Changing workshops is not possible. The project management tries to take your wishes into consideration. At the end of the International Forum there will be a presentation of the working methods of the individual workshops (not open to the public).5. How to apply
