No successful American film is the work of a single screenwriter and major projects like the collective internet encyclopedia Wikipedia are only possible through the efforts of thousands. In business so called peer-to-peer connections between individuals on the same level play an ever-increasing role. This rising collectivism is the product of neither a particularly democratic view of humanity nor a specific social ideology.
