Theresa Schütz

Theresa Schütz was born in 1986 and studied German Literature, Culture and Theatre Studies in Berlin and Paris. During her studies, she worked as an Assistant Director at Deutsches Theater Berlin, as a research assistant at Heiner Müller Archiv / Transitraum, as a freelance dramaturg for Sydhavn Teater in Copenhagen, as a sales assistant at the theatre book-shop “Einar und Bert”. Since 2013, she has been writing at regular intervals for “Theater der Zeit”. Since 2015, she has been working with Prof Doris Kolesch as a research associate for the Collaborative Research Center Affective Societies at Freie Universität Berlin. As part of this project, she is currently working on a PhD dissertation on effect aesthetics in contemporary immersive theatre.
