Renée Coulombe

Renée Coulombe is a composer-performer, media artist and scholar, producer and publisher. A former Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the University of California, she left academia in 2010 to form her global transmedia performing arts collective, Improvised Alchemy, the new media publishing company Banshee Media, and her ecofriendly art-clothing line Banshee’s House of Make. She tours internationally as an individual artist and presents and publishes regularly on topics of critical theory in music and media. She completed her Deep Listening Certification through the Center for Deep Listening at the Deep Listening Institute, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy New York, in January of 2018. She currently resides in Berlin where she runs the workshop and concert space, The Willows Nest.
