Ilan Volkov

In 2003, Israeli born conductor Ilan Volkov (born in 1976) was appointed to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, recording a number of CDs with them in the following years. In addition, he appeared as guest conductor at many leading orchestras. This season, Ilan Volkov has been appointed chief conductor of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in Reykjavik, placing a programmatic emphasis on New Music.
