Lisa Homburger

Lisa Homburger (she/her) is a dramaturg and theatre maker with an interdisciplinary practice and a focus on research-based creative processes. Trained in contemporary dance and literary studies, and holding a Master’s degree in Performance Theory from the Iceland University of the Arts, Lisa has been working as a freelancer in the national and international independent theatre scene for many years. Alongside her role as an artistic collaborator with Rimini Protokoll since 2017, she is engaged in her own artistic research into topics of somatic archiving and scoring processes. In 2017, her first book, “Systems of Movement”, on graphic movement notation, was published by the Berlin-based publisher Round not Square.

As a dramaturg, she has been supporting the work of choreographer Katrina E. Bastian since 2018. This close collaboration has given rise to a shared artistic practice that explores and critically examines new technologies, AI and digital themes using somatic tools.
