Karin Bischoff
Karin is from Baden-Württemberg. After completing her training as a publishing specialist, she gained experience in Israel and the USA—experiences that deeply shaped her curiosity and love of discovery. In the early 1980s, she chose to make West Berlin her home. There, she studied Spanish, worked in various daily newspapers, and seized every opportunity to travel—often on language-learning trips.
Following German reunification and inspired by the city’s unique atmosphere and compelling history, she became increasingly interested in urban development, architecture, languages, and the many moving stories Berlin has to tell. Since the 1990s, Karin has worked as an independent tour guide in Berlin and Potsdam, sharing her enthusiasm and personal dedication with others as she introduces them to these fascinating cities. She looks forward to exploring What if Berlin with you!
Karin Bischoff takes you on the tour When the Periphery Becomes the Centre. Karin Bischoff’s tours are in German.
