Jazzfest Off Stage
Jazzfest Berlin went online and employed artistic work commissions, video statements and interviews as extensions of the festival into space and time. It built creative bridges into the city, into Europe and across the Atlantic, leaving behind conventional concert stages in order to listen out for the dissonances in the world ‘out there’.

It’s the End of the World (as We Know It)
In the third and final session of its series for Jazzfest Berlin Off Stage, the KIM Collective will remix the worldwide lockdown music chart into a soundtrack to the crisis that is both musically and electronically distorted, one that finds a fitting stage amid the dust sheets and renovations works in the Festspielhaus auditorium.

Anthill Closeup (Schillerpark, Berlin)
In an international cooperation with the US guitarist John Dieterich (known from the innovative experimental rock band Deerhoof, among others) and the Vienna-based video artist Işıl Karataş, the Berlin duo TRAINING turn their approach to an aesthetic of presence into the starting point of a collective creative process in spite of the physical distance and isolation of the lockdown.
