18:00 work introduction

As a string quartet we operate at the heart of the classic music world. Every day we dive deep into the great masterpieces of composers such as Beethoven and Mozart, though we occasionally do a folk gig, too. Over the years we have been fortunate to take master classes with well-known teachers in various locations, and have had the opportunity to perform in prominent concert halls around the world. Yet the quartet’s more simple story is as follows: we are three Danes and a Norwegian cellist who make up this entirely Scandinavian enterprise. We often self-mockingly refer to ourselves as modern Vikings – perhaps a tad more harmless than our ancestors, as we neither pillage cities nor raid the English coast.
