Introduction with Clemens Goldberg
at 19:00, Ausstellungsfoyer (exhibition foyer)

Whereas the first concert of the project with Andrew Manze will present three sonatas for Holy Mary on 2 September, this second concert evening will present three sonatas on the Passion of Christ.

Moreover, the programme will introduce two outstanding young soloists: Kristóf Baráti who has rapidly made a name for himself with his impressive interpretations of chamber music and tonight will juxtapose Biber’s Mystery Sonatas with virtuoso pieces by Bartók and Josef Suk; and Geneviève Strosser who will interpret three central pieces of the repertoire for solo viola.
