Each year since 2007 Deutschlandradio Kultur has chosen one of the plays in the Stückemarkt to produce and broadcast as a radio play. The chosen theatre text from the previous year is always given an audio theatre presentation – before its broadcast premiere on radio – at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele during the Stückemarkt.

This year ‘Turn Everything Off’ by the young playwright Julian van Daal will be presented. His text was awarded the radio production at the 2010 Stückemarkt. The play deals with the generation of children in crisis and the excessive demands made of them. It attempts to breaks through the young people’s masks and to give them a second, inner voice beyond the headlines.
