In “Fall on Pluto”, Sashko Brama and his company investigate questions of ageing, impermanence and (un)fulfilled longings. The show is based on research interviews which the artists conducted with the residents of several retirement homes in Ukraine. The documentary material is staged by a young cast, navigating life-sized puppets in front of them. With great delicacy and sensitivity, they look at the stories and desires of a generation banished to the very edge of our solar system. With their atmospheric performance the ensemble formulates a plea for a more emphatic society.
