Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic

The 30th Edition

Piano Night
Wollny | Rantala | Możdżer

For the 30th edition of “Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic”, the original three pianists will get back together – as soloists, as duos on two pianos and finally as a trio on three instruments. This evening will be a very personal homage of jazz to Ludwig van Beethoven: full of virtuosity, emotion, wit, groove and disarming, genre-crossing musicality.

In 2012, the first joint concert by Leszek Możdżer from Poland, Iiro Rantala from Finland and Michael Wollny from Germany took place at the Berlin Philharmonie and marked the birth hour of the series “Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic”. With this series, the curator and music producer Siggi Loch came one step closer to fulfilling his vision of bringing jazz and its affiliated musical styles to the main stage at the Philharmonie in selected and always surprising new constellations. The series proved to be a great success and its concerts have long since become an institution in Berlin.
