François Chaignaud und Marie-Pierre Brébant create a cycle of short performances, each of them digging into the very peculiar musicality of those 12th century monodies, which confronts us with the unexpected tonal anomalies that once formed the core of Western culture but have now vanished from the modern canon. They question the relationship between duration and eternity, spirituality and training of the self to create a contemporary experience of musical archives in between mirage and concreteness, leaving you both mesmerised and yet totally awake.
