Past Dates

Since 2018, Andrea Voets produces her musical journalism at De Balie in Amsterdam, a centre for contemporary art, culture and political debate. With her company Resonate Productions she makes documentary concerts about emotional blind spots in society. Her work touches upon questions of belonging, connectedness and different immersive experiences: “For me, the opposite of feeling lonely is feeling welcome. Everyone needs this sensation to feel safe enough to land.” In “for All of Us” Voets brings her divers road-trips to life in music and spoken word, with Evi Filippou (percussion), Sarah Jeffery (recorders) and Anastasis Sarakatsanos (piano/qanun).

In “for All of Us -While We Live“ (2020), Andrea Voets takes you on a social roadtrip through Greece, in search for ways out of the fundamental crisis of loneliness in many societies.
