Enzo Favata ‘Made in Sardinia’
Past Dates
Saxophonist Enzo Favata is proud of his origins and still happens to live in his native town of Alghero/Sardinia. He is always open to new influences – as in music of Sardinian emigrants to America. His preoccupation with electronic music and noise in mind Favata is increasingly focusing on local peculiarities, this time supported by the Sardinian vocal group Tenores di Bitti: Frank Zappa defined their chants as “bovine music”. Having shared the stage with the likes of Lester Bowie and Ornette Coleman they are no novices to jazzfestival stages.
