Open Singing
A Bow to Life
Open Singing with Ayumi Paul in the Gropius Bau’s Atrium
To mark the transition into the darker season, between the autumnal equinox and winter solstice, Ayumi Paul has given a violin concert in the atrium of the Gropius Bau. In addition to free improvisations, she has played the Partita in D minor for solo violin by Johann Sebastian Bach – a work that has been part of the artist’s daily practice for over 20 years.
In the spirit of the concert, she now invites people to listen and to sing freely with each other in the atrium – everyone is welcome to join in at any time.
