The 6th ilb is proud to present the world premiere of Gao Xingjian’s film “La silhouette sinon l’ombre” The autobiographical film documents the Nobel Prize Winner’s artistic as well as literary work, and at the same time offers insights into the life of a Chinese man who has lived since 1987 in France. The black and white film was shot by a small circle of friends and experienced filmmakers: Gao Xingjian himself directed it.
An exhibition of Gao Xingjian’s ink on rice paper paintings will be opened in the Berliner Institut Français by Jean-Claude Crespy on September 8th, 2006 at 5.00 pm.
