DV8’s Artistic Director Lloyd Newson leads an exceptionally strong multi-ethnic cast in a poetic but unflinching exploration of tolerance, intolerance, religion and sexuality. To Be Straight With You is based on hundreds of hours of audio interviews collected throughout the UK with people directly affected by these issues. It is the first time that the highly original British dance company DV8 – seen most recently in spielzeit’europa 05|06 with Just For Show – will premiere a work in Germany. An eagerly awaited event in dance theatre. Alongside the performances spielzeit’europa will also be presenting a comprehensive series of screenings of DV8’s award-winning film works.
