“Mystery Magnet” by Miet Warlop is like the bitter centre inside a sweet, pink piece of candy: underneath the colourful, pop-like cuteness of a surreal comic world hides a war-like cosmos full of unpredictable sheaths of fog, colour bombs, dart arrows, and sausages of foam.

From Katie Mitchell’s explanatory statement: “Miet’s roots lie in the visual arts. (…) Her feeling for suspense and dramatic timing is perfect and her work is humorous in a very dark, black way. (…) I have chosen her for her mastery of dramatic technique and her unique visual signature but also because her productions promise clear potential for future oeuvre as a whole.”
