Kaleidoskopville. A Musical Theatre
A village and its rituals. – From an empty stage, a village is created. A village filled with musicians who will point out musical and social utopias, and at the same time impart new images on music to the audience. They act from a point of individuality, offer various ways of re-thinking musical theatre and address social issues in their acting. “Kaleidoskopville” is inspired by the set of Lars von Trier’s film “Dogville” (2003) and the novel “In Watermelon Sugar” by Richard Brautigan (1968). It is a vision of images and acting, crossing all borders, which exposes fragilities and vulnerabilities. The village remains peculiar.
