Kari Rønnekleiv

Rønnekleiv, born in 1972, studied at the Trondheim Conservatory of Music and Royal College of Music in London. She was a co-initiator of the chamber-orchestra “The Trondheim Soloists”, in which she played for many years, sometimes leading, and sometimes playing as a soloist with. The last years she has focused her work on different solo-projects, collaborating closely with different composers. In 2007 she received the Norwegian Grammy for best contemporary music album, performing the music of Ole-Henrik Moe jr. Since then she has given solo concerts at festivals such as Wien Modern, Zürich Tage für neue Musik, Bremen Tage für neue Musik and Ultima Oslo.
