Pierre Bokma

Pierre Bokma (Paris, 1955) is educated at Toneelschool Maastricht and has been acting on stage and screen non-stop since then, both in the Netherlands as well as abroad. He worked with theatre companies such as Globe, Het Publiekstheater, Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Orkater, De Mexicaanse Hond, at Nationale Toneel, NTGent Belgium and Münchner Kammerspiele. Pierre Bokma received the Louis d’Or, the most important theatre award in the Netherlands, twice. He starred in popular Dutch as well as international television series – such as “Tatort” and “Dalziel & Pascoe” – and movies such as “De Aanslag” (The Assault) which won a Golden Globe and an Oscar, Peter Greenaway’s “Prospero’s Books”, the late Theo van Gogh’s “Interview” remade in the USA by Steve Buscemi, and “De Uitverkorene” (The Chosen One) for which he received an International Emmy Award. For the season 2015–2016 Bokma joined the NTGent company where he performs in “De kersentuin” among others.
