Timo Kreuser studied at the music academies of Munich, Dresden and Berlin. His works quote elements of industrial music, punk provocation and avant-garde electronics and often constitute composed commentaries on modern society and political phenomena (like the regime, the collective momentum or the individual). Timo Kreuser regularly performs, both in various formations or as a soloist, as an experimental pianist, on the “Innenklavier” or as a vocalist. He performs most of his works as a instrumentalist or vocalist together with ensembles like POING!, S.A.F.T., Houligé Hobster & The Amazing Fire Ants, FIGURA, PHØNIX16 and others. As a composer-performer, he is a regular guest at festivals like Ultima, WUNDERGRUND CPH, KLANG Festival and AFEKT.
Timo Kreuser is the artistic director of the vocal collective PHØNIX16. Together with Sonia Lescène, he has been curating the sixteen-part concert series Poppen/Arbeiten/Erschrecken/Shoppen at Heimathafen Neukölln.
