Andrej Holm
Dr. Andrej Holm, born in 1970, is a social scientist and research assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin. His topics include urban development and housing policy together with related social conflicts. In his research projects he has examined urban regeneration, gentrification and forced clearances. In addition to his research work at the Humboldt University in Berlin he has been active for over 25 years in local initiatives within the city and tenants’ organisations. In December 2016 he was appointed Housing Minister by the red-red-green state government for Berlin, but was forced to resign after a few weeks following public discussions about his past.
