Antonia Majaca
Antonia Majaca is the principal investigator on the research project “Incomputable” (2019–2021) at the IZK – Institute for Contemporary Art, Graz University of Technology. She teaches art theory at the Dutch Art Institute in Arnhem. At the HKW – Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin she has been one of the research curators in the long-term project “Kanon-Fragen” (initiated by Anselm Franke) and recently co-curated a large-scale exhibition “Parapolitics – Cultural Freedom and the Cold War”. Her research and publishing project “Feminist Takes” (forthcoming, Sternberg Press) considers the relation between Non-Western avant-garde cinema and feminist theory. For Documenta 14, she developed a collective aural project “Art of The Possible: Towards the International Antifascist Feminist Front” (in collaboration with Angela Dimitrakaki and Sanja Ivekovic). For Berlin Biennial X she curated BBX Crit Sessions (in collaboration with Gabi Ngcobo and co-directed with Sohrab Mohebbi). In 2015 she organized “Memorial For(u)ms – Histories of Possibility” commissioned by the German DAAD and HAU – Hebbel am Ufer, Berlin.
