Bénédicte Savoy

Bénédicte Savoy graduated from the École Normale Supérieure in Paris with a thesis on Napoleon's art theft in Germany. Since 2003, she has been Junior Professor and since 2009 Professor of Modern Art History at the Institute for Art Studies and Historical Urban Studies at the Technical University of Berlin. She is a member of many committees and scientific advisory boards and received the Leibniz Prize of the German Research Foundation in 2016. Bénédicte Savoy is a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the German Academy for Language and Poetry. In 2016, she was appointed professor at the Collège de France in Paris.
