Arely Amaut

Arely Amaut (born in Cusco, Perú lives in Canada) is a visual artist and graphic designer. She holds an MA in Art and Public Space from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in Oslo and she is currently a PhD student at The Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice in Vancouver. Informed by her background in architecture and the embodied study of the concepts that were applied in the Andean ancestral architecture, she shares a practice called Remembering the Future within the Andean building-bodies. She has collaborated with Sigrid Espelien, on the ongoing project Collective Thinking Machine, on Mapping the Unseen with Liisa-Rávná Finbog. She and Milke Sinuiri Panduro seed Pacha Nete. She collaborates with Valentina Desideri and Denise Ferreira da Silva on the Sensing Salon.
