Sara Valero Zelwer
Sara Valero Zelwer is an actress, director and teacher, and a specialist in theater of objects, interactivity and new media from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Argentina. She holds a bachelor in arts from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She was a fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Agents Program of the Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas, both in Argentina. In Venezuela, she has worked under various directors both in theater and cinema. She was nominated for the Marco Antonio Ettedgui Award, from the Rajatabla Foundation, 2020 and awarded as Best Leading Actress by AVENCRIT, 2020. She lectures at the School of Arts of the Central University of Venezuela and teaches in the TET Actoral Training Center and the School of Musical Theater of Petare. She is a co-founder of El recuerdo del futuro (The memory of the future), an initiative that aims for creating theater archives in digital environments. She has published “Travistiendo el discurso dominante”, and as co-author “Cosidad, Carnalidad y Virtualidad“, at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Argentina. She is part of Teatro en Red, a laboratory of remote scenic creation with members in more than seven different countries.
