Patricia Kaishian

Dr. Patricia Kaishian is a mycologist and Visiting Professor at Bard College in New York. Her research focuses on fungal taxonomy, diversity and ecology, particularly of the less studied groups such as the Laboulbeniales. Author of The Science Underground: Mycology as a Queer Discipline, Patricia Kaishian also works in the realms of philosophy of science and feminist bioscience, exploring how mycology and other scientific disciplines are situated in and informed by our sociopolitical landscape.
