Valerio Tricoli

Valerio Tricoli, born in 1977 in Palermo, works as a composer, improviser, sound artist, sound engineer and producer. In his performances, which are generally accompanied by special light effects, he mixes recorded or synthetically produced sounds with live ones. In doing so, he usually uses analogue electronic devices such as tape recorders. He is particularly interested in the relationship between the music-makers, the devices and the surrounding space. Tricoli is a co-founder of the Italian label Bowindo for experimental music.
