Susanne Zapf
The violinist Susanne Zapf was born in Thüringen and did her training with Ilan Gronich in Berlin, Grigory Zhislin in London and Keiko Wataya in Amsterdam. Zapf does not regard her performances of classical and Baroque music, free improvisation and contemporary works, in close collaboration with composers, as contradictory. She is a member of the Sonar Quartett as well other chamber ensembles such as the Thürmchen Ensemble in Cologne. The duo Susanne Zapf and Theo Nabicht gave their debut as performers during the MaerzMusik festival 2012.
