Federico León was born in Buenos Aires in 1975. He is a director, playwright, film-maker and theatre teacher. In 2002, he participated in The Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative and worked for over a year with Robert Wilson. He has written and directed plays including Cachetazo de campo (Country Smack), Mil quinientos metros sobre el nivel de Jack (Fifteen Hundred Feet Above Jack’s Level), and Yo en el futuro (Me in the Future) and films like Todo Juntos (Everything Together), Estrellas (Stars) and Entrenamiento elemental para actores (Elementary Training for Actors) which he wrote and directed in collaboration with film-maker Martín Rejtman. León’s plays and films have been performed at theatres and festivals in Europe, Asia and Australia.
