Erdem Helvacioğlu

Erdem Helvacioğlu is one of the most renowned contemporary and electronic music composers and musicians of his generation in Turkey. He works with several artists and performs on stages around the world. As an installation artist, he exhibits in international galleries and museums. In addition, he composes music for theatre, film and multimedia productions and produces for Turkish pop and rock bands. Erdem Helvacioğlu has been awarded several competition prizes in the field of Electronic Music, among them Luigi Russolo, Insulae Electronicae und MUSICA NOVA, and has been commissioned to compose works for such bodies as the International Istanbul Biennial and the legendary Bang On A Can-All Stars formation. His film music has been heard at film festivals in Cannes, Sarjevo, Locarno, Seoul, Sao Paulo and Sydney.
