Erki De Vries
Erki De Vries studied visual arts at Sint-Lucas Antwerp, and Post Sint Joost in Breda. In 2005 he was a laureate of the High Institute for Fine Arts. He presented his visual art at several international exhibitions. Since 2006 Erki is also active as a scenographer, working together with theatre company Wolff for their Darwin Trilogy, with Andros Zins-Browne for “Welcome to the Jungle” (2012) and with Benjamin Vandewalle for “Birdwatching” (2009) and “One / Zero” (2011). Erki De Vries has a fascination for the stratification of spaces and locations. His work is aimed at perception, presence and the involvement of the spectator, who becomes more aware of the space that surrounds him.
