Throughout Spätschicht x AL.Berlin, Refuge Worldwide will broadcast a liveradio programme directly from Gropius Bau. Through interviews, conversations, musical contributions and spontaneous encounters, the Berlin-based community radio station follows the evening’s programme, amplifying its voices and capturing the atmosphere, perspectives and exchanges that shape the event.
Refuge Worldwide is a radio station, educational platform and event series based in Berlin-Neukölln. Since January 2021, the station has broadcast over 15,000 radio shows across more than 400 genres, amplifying a wide range of issues and perspectives. Now streaming 24/7, its programming is focused on community-building and creating space for underrepresented artists. At its studios on Niemetzstraße, Refuge Worldwide hosts regular workshops, training programmes and classes in media, creative fields and mental health. These are free to attend as part of its community outreach. Refuge Worldwide is also involved in different collaborative projects around the globe with like-minded festivals, collectives, radio stations and activists.
