Since Lee Mingwei’s The Dining Project cannot take place in the exhibition space as planned due to current contact restrictions and hygiene measures, the work is adapted for the digital realm.

With The Dining Project, Lee Mingwei examines whether an art institution is capable of offering space for emotional connection. For the Gropius Bau, this work will be adapted to current circumstances and take place in an altered form in digital space. Lee Mingwei invites visitors to a virtual tea time with him. The artist and the randomly selected participant will exchange a recipe in advance and bake a cake or biscuits to eat together in a digital meeting.
The virtual tea time will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 16:30 from 14 May to 9 July 2020 (in English). To enter the lottery, please send an e-mail with your name, phone number and preferred date to . If you are selected, you will be contacted one week before your chosen date.
