Our Guests at Musikfest Berlin 2020 [London, Paris, Rome]
Just in time for the Advent period, Berliner Festspiele will open the first windows on the programme of Musikfest Berlin 2020 which will take place from 29 August to 23 September in cooperation with the Foundation Berliner Philharmoniker.
Tickets for four extraordinary orchestra concerts and a piano cycle of eight recitals are already available now:
Our guests from Paris will be the orchestra Les Siècles, conducted by its founder, François-Xavier Roth. Sir John Eliot Gardiner, the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and the Monteverdi Choir will travel to Berlin from London. And the Orchestra and Choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia – Roma will join us from Rome with their Musical Director Sir Antony Pappano. Conducted by Vimbayi Kaziboni, the Ensemble Modern Orchestra will premiere a new full-length work. And Igor Levit will devote a series of eight recitals to Ludwig van Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas.
