In order to ensure compliance with the current distance and hygiene regulations at the concerts, we unfortunately have considerably fewer seats in the concert hall and thus a significantly reduced number of tickets is available.
The duration for each concert is a maximum of 90 minutes without an interval.
Tickets for the new programme are available through the webshop, by phone on +49 30 254 89 100 and at the Gropius Bau box office. Please note that, with the exception of the Staatskapelle Berlin, tickets for the concerts by Berlin-based orchestras are available exclusively through those orchestras’ own sales outlets.
We regret that all tickets that were purchased before 21 July are no longer valid and will have to be exchanged or cancelled.
We regret that due to the Philharmonie’s present safety policy it is only possible to select a particular group of seats (price category) and not individual seats. The ticket system will then automatically allocate you the best available seat in the blocks that belong to your chosen group of seats (price category). You will find the letter for this block on your ticket. The Philharmonie’s front of house staff will co-ordinate seating within this block directly inside the auditorium in order to ensure that the minimum distances between members of the audience can be maintained.
Due to the hygiene regulations of Philharmonie Berlin, it is not possible for guests in August to sit together with several persons. In September, this will be possible again for members of one household.

Please note that their dates for accepting advanced bookings may differ.

Exchange or Reimbursement of Tickets for Musikfest Berlin 2020’s Original Programme
All tickets purchased for Musikfest Berlin before 21 July 2020 are no longer valid because many of the concerts either cannot take place, take place in in another hall or can only take place in altered form. Also, the seating plan in the Philharmonie has had to be adapted to the current corona regulations. As a result your tickets will have to be reissued, exchanged or refunded.
We are able to offer you the following options:
- Exchange of tickets. Please understand that due to the reduced seating capacity we may not be able to fulfil all ticket requests.
- Return tickets in exchange for a voucher.
- Return tickets and refund the price of your purchase via the original means of payment or by bank transfer. We regret that cash refunds at the box office are not currently possible.
- If you wish to donate the purchase price of your tickets to Deutsche Orchesterhilfe, we will be happy to transfer the sum in your name.
To complete the exchange or refund process please contact us: By e-mail to , by phone on +49 30 254 89 100 or in person at the Gropius Bau box office. We have reserved special booking periods at the Gropius Bau for this:

Thursday, Friday 15:00 – 20:30
Saturday 10:00 – 14:00
We would ask for your understanding that it may currently take longer than usual to work on the matter you have raised. Our ticket office is working round the clock to be able to give equal time to all the enquiries we receive. Please refrain from resubmitting your enquiry as the fewer of these we have to deal with, the faster we will be able to respond to your concerns.
