26th International Literature Festival Berlin

Under the motto “You are born with your face turned everywhere”, the 26th International Literature Festival Berlin (ILB) celebrates the power of literature. From September 3 to 12, the ILB presents more than 100 authors from over 40 countries, including new and established voices such as Dave Eggers, Daniela Catrileo, Douglas Stuart, Amitav Ghosh, Adania Shibli, and many more.

Through readings, conversations, and performances, they offer insights into their work and reflect on current debates. As Curator in Residence, Indian writer, poet, and musician Jeet Thayil curates a series of events that cross genre boundaries in the spirit of collaboration and improvisation. As a forum for creative exchange, the ILB invites audiences to listen, to converse, and to connect.
