Litwinenko (DJ set)

Trading one type of black disc for another, the former ice hockey player cum techno producer pays homage to his previous life giving us three periods plus overtime. Through a combination of influences from Acid to Minimal Techno backed up by his signature IDM-Electro sound, Litwinenko shows us he is just as smooth on wax as he was on the ice. Litwinenko’s music is best described as a modern, electronic interpretation of Funk - dirty, raw, yet playful. He merges dirty cuts, raunchy breakbeats and rough funk music to create his very own unique cut-up techno. His influences range from the original HipHop-Breakdance classics, some pioneers of electronic music, the Italian underground-club-scene between 1979 and 1985, Afro, New Wave, ElectroDiscoFunk from the early eighties to Jazz and Black music in general.
