Access and Arrival
Theatertreffen will take place both at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele and at other Berlin venues. Here you can read information about barrier-free access so that you can enjoy your visit. For more information and to buy tickets please contact our ticket office.
Haus der Berliner Festspiele
You can reach the Haus der Berliner Festspiele at Schaperstraße 24 barrier-free by public transport: The underground station Spichernstraße has two lifts on the platform of the U3 in the direction of Wittenbergplatz and in the direction of Krumme Lanke as well as a guide system for the blind on the two side platforms.
The Haus der Berliner Festspiele has barrier-free, step-free access to the foyer and the auditorium on the ground floor. The upper foyers and the side stage can be reached via a lift.
A toilet for all genders and for people with reduced mobility is located on the ground floor.
Deutsches Theater Berlin
Deutsches Theater has seats for guests in wheelchairs – please register your visit up to one day before the performance by contacting the Ticket Office. Access to the venues is via the ramp or the lift at the entrance to Deutsches Theater.
Restrooms for people with disabilities are located in the foyer of Deutsches Theater.
The stalls and first balcony (towards the left) at the Deutsches Theater feature an induction loop system. We recommend consulting the Ticket Office before booking.
Probebühne 2 (Rehearsal Stage 2) is located in the backyard of Deutsches Theater Berlin and is not entirely barrier-free. Visitors with impaired mobility should use the side entrance (Luisenstraße 49, 10117 Berlin) to the backyard, where they will be met by our front-of-house staff. Flutgraben e.V.
Unfortunately, Flutgraben e. V. has no barrier-free accessibility.
Gropius Bau
The entrance to the Gropius Bau via the accessible entrance is suitable for people with limited mobility, wheelchairs and prams. This is located to the left of the main entrance and is additionally marked with signs in front of the main entrance.
The building provides barrier-free access to all three exhibition floors. Wheelchairs and portable museum stools are available to loan from the cloakroom.
Toilets for all genders, which also function as accessible toilets, can be found on the first floor.
HAU Hebbel am Ufer (HAU1)
There are two marked parking spots in front of the building. Access to the Parkett is possible by means of a separate entrance with lift. Barrier-free restroom facilities are available. Wheelchair users are kindly requested to register their attendance at least one day before the performance by contacting the Ticket Office.
Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz
There is barrier-free access to both the lower foyer and the Main Auditorium of the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz via the theatre’s main entrance. For structural reasons, the (upper) Sternfoyer and the venues Roter/Grüner Salon, 3. Stock and Probebühne do not provide barrier-free access. At Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, wheelchair seats are only available in the Main Auditorium.
Please note that wheelchair seats for “Ophelia’s Got Talent” can only be ordered through the Volksbühne ticket office.
