This year the Theatertreffen will take place both at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele and at other venues. Here you can read information about barrier-free access so that you can enjoy your visit. For more information and to buy tickets please contact our ticket office.

Reductions for Attendants

Attendants for people with severe disabilities will be admitted free of charge on presentation of the appropriate credentials (“B-Ausweis”). We can offer you the corresponding tickets at the box office or by telephone.

Haus der Berliner Festspiele

You can reach the Haus der Berliner Festspiele at Schaperstraße 24 barrier-free by public transport: The underground station Spichernstraße has two lifts on the platform of the U3 in the direction of Wittenbergplatz and in the direction of Krumme Lanke as well as a guide system for the blind on the two side platforms.

The Haus der Berliner Festspiele has barrier-free, with step-free access to the foyer and the auditorium on the ground floor. The upper foyers and the side stage can be reached via a lift. Due to construction work, paved access to the garden is not yet available.

A toilet for all genders and for people with reduced mobility is located on the ground floor.

Akademie der Künste

The Akademie der Künste at Pariser Platz 4 is barrier-free. All event rooms are accessible via a lift, which is clearly visible in the entrance area. The sanitary facilities are barrier-free.

Parking facilities at the Akademie der Künste are very limited. Therefore, if possible, plan to arrive by public transport. This is possible barrier-free.

HAU Hebbel am Ufer (HAU1)

Access to the Parkett of HAU1 at Stresemannstraße 29 is possible via a separate entrance with lift. Barrier-free restroom facilities are available. Unfortunately, the lift is currently out of order.
There is a wheelchair ramp that has a slope of 20 %. Therefore, an additional person is needed to assist the person in the wheelchair in using the ramp. Our team will be happy to assist you with the use of the ramp.

If you arrive by car, there are two marked parking spots in front of the building. Arrival by public transport is possible by underground and railway.

HAU Hebbel am Ufer (HAU2)

Access to the HAU2 at Hallesches Ufer32 is possible via a wheelchair ramp and a lift. Barrier-free restroom facilities are available. Please contact the Ticketing & Service team at tel. +49 (0)30 254 89 100 for optimal service.
If you use a wheelchair, please register your attendance at least one day before the performance.

If you arrive by car, there are two marked parking spots in front of the building (in Großbeerenstraße). Arrival by public transport is possible by underground and railway.

Maxim Gorki Theater

The Maxim Gorki Theater at Festungsgraben 2 is accessible by a wheelchair ramp at the main entrance and a lift to the right of the entrance. The theatre has up to four wheelchair spaces in the stalls in rows 8 and 10. The box office, the barrier-free restroom facilities, the cloakroom and the foyer are on the ground floor and accessible via the ramp at the main entrance.
Unfortunately, the canteen and the terrace are not barrier-free accessible.

If you arrive by car, there are two marked parking spots in front of the main entrance from 13:00-23:00. Arrival by public transport is possible by tram, bus, underground and S-Bahn.
