Round Table: Dance in Schools
The Round Table: Dance in Schools is a five-part discussion series organized in cooperation with the Bundeswettbewerb Schultheater der Länder (SDL) of the Bundesverband Theater an Schulen (BVTS) and Aktion Tanz – Bundesverband Tanz in Bildung und Gesellschaft e.V. The series will take place from September 2025 to September 2026 as part of conferences and festivals by the partner organizations.
The series aims to create an ongoing dialogue on strengthening dance in schools. It seeks to foster a productive exchange between teachers interested in dance and theatre, as well as other experienced practitioners, interested participants, and experts in the field. The discussions focus on identifying challenges, sharing knowledge and experiences, promoting quality in arts education, and developing practical ideas and recommendations for future action. Participants are welcome to join the series at any stage.

- Round Table 1: 30 September 2025, as part of the 12th Tanztreffen der Jugend, Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Berlin
- Round Table 2: 22 November 2025, as part of the Zentrale Arbeitstagung des Bundesverband Theater an Schulen (BVTS), Wolfenbüttel
- Round Table 3: 10 July 2026, as part of the final presentations of the practical projects of the programme “Tandem Tanz und Schule”, organized by Aktion Tanz – Bundesverband Tanz in Bildung und Gesellschaft e.V., Bad Honnef
- Round Table 4: 22 September 2026, 14:00–15:30, 14:00–15:30, as part of the Festival Schultheater der Länder 2026 with the theme “School Theater.Dance(s),” Festival Center (Youth Hostel, Room E11), Frankfurt am Main
- Round Table 5: 1 October 2026, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, as part of the 13th Tanztreffen der Jugend, Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Berlin
