Between Erasure and Reconstruction

This tour explores several unrealised projects for (re-)building Berlin: a place to learn about German colonialism, an urban planning competition, the hosting of the Olympic Games, and a proposal to transform giant gasometers. It highlights that to build a city is not only to construct buildings, but to keep choosing what to remember and how to pass this memory on to the future.
